About Massport

The Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) is a world-class, independent public authority that owns and operates the major transportation facilities serving the New England region. The organization oversees the movement of passengers and goods through Logan International Airport, Hanscom Field, Worcester Regional Airport, the Tobin Memorial Bridge and Boston's seaport. Massport employs more than 20,000 people and generates more than $8 billion each year for the region's economy.

The Challenge

Massport provides FIDS data on its website for travelers and businesses that use Logan International Airport. Flight status data is supplied by most but not all airlines, so a traveler may not be able to find information about a particular flight. Massport wanted to provide complete information for every flight arriving to and departing from all Massport airports including Hanscom Field and Worcester Regional.

Our Solution

FlightView XML Datafeed provides accurate real-time flight status on all commercial and general aviation flights in the United States and Canada. Its XML interface enabled Massport to easily integrate this functionality into the existing flight status database. FlightView XML Datafeed supplies both text and graphical flight tracking information. Now, Massport's website tracks every flight - all airlines at all Massport airports.
