Case Study: FlightView Dispatch

About American Jet International / Million Air

American Jet International, based at Dallas Love Field Airport and Hobby Airport in Houston, provides charter and fractional ownership programs. Million Air provides full FBO services such as maintenance, hangar garage, fueling, catering, flight coordination, insurance and other aircraft management services. American Jet acquired Million Air Link in 2002.

The Challenge

American Jet & Million Air wanted to enhance their customer service, improve overall company operations, and grow their client base. In order to achieve their goals, they needed to know the exact location of their fleet, as well as aircraft belonging to current and potential customers arriving into Hobby Airport. Customer service would be improved by providing up-to-the minute flight arrival information. Scheduling of crews and Line Service Technicians would be more efficient and accurate, thus saving both time and money. Finally, by monitoring the incoming and outgoing traffic at Hobby Airport, the marketing and business development efforts of both companies could be made more effective.

Our Solution

FlightView Dispatch enables American Jet & Million Air to track their fleet, clients' aircraft, and aircraft flying in and out of Hobby airport in real time. The powerful filter functions and color graphics of FlightView Dispatch allow the display of traffic that is relevant to the companies' operations at any given time. The ability to overlay range rings and the updated ETAs provide up-to-the-minute flight information for improved scheduling and customer service. The landing reports created in FlightView Dispatch have become an outstanding marketing tool.

Their Benefits

  • Accurate real-time flight information for general and commercial aviation
  • The ability to filter and create a customized view of air traffic important to the operations of either company
  • Anticipate and respond to cancellations, delays, and early arrivals at the airport
  • Helps coordinate and schedule the appropriate number of ground operations, fueling, catering, and ground transportation
  • Monthly landing reports are an excellent marketing and billing resource

Testimonies

"We use FlightView Dispatch to track inbound flights at Hobby Airport. We set up a filter to identify aircraft about 250 miles out so we can check on their ground transportation arrangements and catering needs. If passengers are waiting for a plane we can tell them when to expect it. We also use FlightView Dispatch to track our charter flights."

"As Vice President of Marketing for Million Air FBOS, I find that FlightView Dispatch is a fantastic way to insure that the needs of both customers and passengers are met seamlessly. Our CSRs and Line Service Technicians always know when an aircraft is going to be in and because of this advanced notice, they have everything ready for them when they arrive.
